Sic-Bo
Sic bo is an ancient Chinese gambling game that became quite popular in western casinos and gambling sites. Some people know this game as Tai Sai or Dai Siu which means "big small".
The meaning of the name sic bo is "dice pair" and you can find it played in Asian counties but also in casinos in Nevada and Australia.
For players who like to bet on dice but had enough playing craps, this game can offer a refreshing alternative, and you can find the game in many virtual and land-based casinos.
The game
Sic bo is played with three dice. The object of the game is to select the numbers, or the combination of numbers that will appear on the dice after the player threw them.
The game starts with the players making their selection of possible outcome and then place their bets on the chosen numbers or combinations. Then the dice are being shaken by the dealer and the outcome of the three dice appears on the display.
After the dice have been thrown the winning combinations light up on the table and the winning players are being paid.
Winning possibilities
The payouts and the winning possibilities are displayed on the table's layout and they usually include single dice numbers, pairs, three of a kind and combinations of any two or three of the dice. The most common bets are "Big" in which the sum total of the three dice will be 11 through 17 and "Small" in which the total is 4 through 7.
Players can bet on as many combinations as desired per game. Winning variations can yield a pay-off ranging from 1:1 to 180:1.
