Crown Casino is on with expansion plans for its gambling processes. The business has gained the required permits to go on swing with their developmental plans of late.

Notably, this is the first ever massive expansion plan of the Crown Casino ever since they were launched in South Bank in more than 10 years.

The Crown as its name indicates is already one of the giant players in the gambling industry, ranked among the best ones in the world.  The new expansion portfolio will be include an additional 150 tables, which is 40% more than what is already up in business.  The number will be up at 500 tables after the completion of the expansion plans for table games.

The expansion approval has not come without a price.  The Crown management has agreed to pay 45% in tax bills on their poker machines, thereby making the Brumby Government potent to receive tens of millions of dollars in taxes!

The amount of tax levied on Crown Poker Machines will thereby be up at 32.57% in over 6 years, it was 22.25% in the beginning low in the 6-year period.

The expansion approval was not welcomed by gambling critics either way.  Critics felt the expansion approval is a royal treatment or indeed a better than first citizen treatment for the business, which the authorities have provided them with, sparing the rest of the community!

Hook or Crook, the Crown is expanding.  Opposition and depression is always there in any society.  The rest is yet to come!
