The City of Dreams is at last an accomplished goal and is reported to be a must-visit gambling destination.  The project was developed by Melco Crown Entertainment Limited.  Interestingly, the company is listed in the NASDAQ.

Analysts are of the opinion that the establishment of the City of Dreams will actually help in the overall development of the region. It is also expected that the City of Dreams will bag the revenues which were once regular due to other casinos in the region.

Grant Chum, an Analyst remarked that the launch of the City of Dreams will improve the overall gambling expenditure trends in the Cotai region.

At a speech in the opening ceremony of the Dream’s City, Lawrence Ho stated "This morning we stand ready to deliver on our promise to offer visitors to Macau the 'next generation' of urban leisure experiences."

With the coming of the City of Dreams, it is expected that the Venetian Macao run by the Las Vegas Corp might see a decline in the first few business days of the Dream’s City, but later on Cotai hub will be definitely strengthened.

There was a previous prediction about a 17% revenue decline for the Macao with the coming of the City of Dreams per analyst Grand Chum.  However, a rework of the math with the current change in trends has given a new number where the whole of the Macao Market will have 1% improvement in revenues.

The next in queue to join the competition is the Grand Hyatt Macau and we are yet to see change in mathematical numbers very soon.
