Legendary Poker Show to be Broadcast in UK

Late Night Poker to be broadcast on Channel 4 in the UK starting on Tuesday, September 26.

Party Poker announced that the pioneer poker TV show Late Night Poker would return to the screens starting on September 26, 2006. The TV show will be broadcast on Channel 4 in the UK on Tuesdays at midnight and will feature coverage of PartyPoker.com Late Night Poker Ace 2 and PartyPoker.com Late Night Poker Masters.

PartyPoker.com Late Night Poker Ace 2 focuses on searching the best amateur poker player in the world. The final event will features 32 qualifiers. In the Late Night Poker Masters, the top 8 contestants from Late Night Poker Ace 2 will compete against 24 of the world top pro poker players. Some of the pros who played at the original Late Night Poker Series will be playing at Late Night Poker Masters including The Hendon Mob, Marcel Luske, Peter Costa, Tony G, Kenna James, Surinder Sunar and Ken Lennard.

Both Late Night Poker Ace 2 and PartyPoker.com Late Night Poker Masters will feature Jesse May, Simon Trumper and Barny Boatman as the commentary team. In both events, the total prize pool is 410,000 dollars. The winner of Late Night Poker Ace 2 will earn a sum of 50,000 dollars and the Masters winner will go home with 100,000 dollars.
