Helped by the Superbowl, casinos in Detroit report a surge in revenues.
Detroit's three casinos reported gambling revenue of more than $109.1 million for February, which is nearly 7% more than their revenue last year. Moreover, this revenue was the highest revenue figure ever for all three casinos, which averagely take revenue of nearly $3.9 million per day, collectively.

MotorCity Casino L.L.C reported logged almost $38 million and was up by more than $1.9 million compared to last year's revenue. MGM Grand Detroit Casino reported on nearly $41.2 million and Greektown Casino L.L.C reported on almost $30 million for February 2006, which is 12.5% more than last year.

Casino officials believe that this surge in revenue reflects additional traffic generated by Superbowl XL.
It's important to remember than the revenue is the amount of money that casinos keep after they pay the winner, but before they pay expenses such as utilities, wages and taxes.
