Las Vegas Sands casino operators promised that they'll provide up to 10,400 new jobs and 75% of it to local residents if they'll win the Marina Bay casino license in Singapore. The offered jobs will also include senior positions.

Sands is among the bidders of the Marina Bay casino. Other bidders are Harrah's Entertainment, MGM Mirage and Genting International. Sands announced that they will provide the jobs while another 10,000 jobs will be created by tenants in the proposed casino and hotel resort, including retailers.

The proposed resort, the Marina Bay Sands, will include casino and hotel and would add 1 per cent to Singapore's 2010 economic output. The $3.6 billion resort will include 1.2 million sq ft of convention facilities, which is equivalent to the size of two national stadiums.
