Pennsylvania residents will have an opportunity to be heard on the casino licenses subject.

Pennsylvania residents will have a chance to express their opinions about the plan to add 14 slots licenses to the state. Pennsylvania Gambling regulators published a schedule of public hearings in April and May on the 24 candidates for receiving the licenses.

The April 18-19 hearings will be take place at the Omni William Penn Hotel in Downtown Pittsburgh on three licenses for a single casino planned to be built in Pittsburgh. The hearings will also discuss a plan to build a casino for The Meadows harness track in Washington County and an application for a casino outside Pittsburgh in West Homestead.

The first casino hearings are scheduled to April 5 in Gettysburg. The Gettysburg casino is planned to be built near the famous Civil War battlefield. Many Gettysburg residents and Civil War buffs are objecting to the casino suggested location.
