Mohegan Sun, together with Christie's New York will host the historic card games collection of Stuart and Marilyn R. Kaplan.
The collection will be on public display in the lobby of the Mohegan Sun hotel from June 8 through June 11. The display is part of a U.S. and European tour of the collection and precedes the public auction, which will take place on June 21 at Christie?s New York. In nearly four decades of avid collecting, the Kaplans have gathered together a vast array of rare, precious objects, photographs, and paintings relating to card games, board games and fortunetelling. The items span the globe, originating from America, Europe and Asia. The collection also spans the centuries, with a selection ranging from the historical to the whimsical.
