Survey reveals that Canadians treat gambling just like any other form of entertainment.

A survey that was released last week at the Gaming Summit in Vancouver, Canada, revealed that about 70% of the Canadians think that gambling is fun and treat it just like any other form of entertainment.
The most acceptable form of gambling, according to the survey, is lottery followed by bingo, office pools, table games at casinos and slot machines.

The survey also revealed that almost 80% of the population in Canada participate is some form of gambling, yet Clarence Chan, a problem-gambling counselor with Richmond Addiction Services claimed that this is only part of the picture, because about 91% of British Columbians are involved in sort of gambling and 4.6% of them are considered problem gamblers.
Chan also said that although many people can regulate their gambling, many others aren't aware that it's an addiction, just like drugs and alcohol.
