Bethlehem is hoping to get the casinos visitors to see what their town has to offer

Citizens of Bethlehem Pennsylvania are not happy about the plans to build a slot machine casino in their little town, but they have decided to turn a negative into a positive.

They plan to build a visitors center next to the casino in hopes of attracting casino goers to local shops and attractions, as well as housing a cultural center, rest room and snack shop.

The goal is to captor the casino visitors and introduce them to the local sites such as the America on Wheels Museum in Allentown or the Moravian Industrial Quarter just north of the Lehigh River.

"If we are going to have a casino that we do not want in our town we may as well make the best of it" said the town mayor "this is a great way to show people all the things we have to offer."

The visitor's center would be located in the Stock house which is the oldest building on the Bethlehem Steel Site, and was built in 1863.

Although the building is in much need for repairs it is the perfect building for the project, since it was part of the Bethlehem Iron works and help shows the areas history.
