Late last night a video clip started appearing on websites. The tape was from Ayman al Zawahiri, al Qaeda's number two man. In the tape he calls American President George Bush "an alcoholic, liar and gambler with an addictive personality."
Comparing this tape to those in the past, the statements al Zawahiri makes towards the American President are unusually personal.
The 40 minute tape was released overnight on the internet.
The President is not the only American to get bashed by the terrorist leader. He also took shots at the Democrats for not keeping their campaign promises by questioning Bush's policies.
The tape, one of the few with English subtitles, seems to be a warning to Americans. The warning is that the American civilians are responsible for Bushes decisions since they voted him into office twice.
The statements were out of the norm for al Zawahiri, were extremely emotional and venomous, which is out of character for the usually calm and collected Zawahiri.
"I don't know his present condition, Americans know best about that, as they are experts in alcohol and addiction to it, but the one who exams his personality finds that he is addicted to two other faults, lying and gambling," Zawahiri said. "He has gone down in history as one of its most notorious liars," he added.
