A Bellys Las Vegas player hits 22,618,156 dollars Megabucks progressive jackpot.

The third largest Megabucks jackpot in history hits at Bellys Las Vegas resort. Heundl, a 74-year-old retired printer from Covina, California won over 22 million dollars on her way to breakfast. She received a birthday present of 2-nights stay and 100 dollars play money as a loyal Bellys customer. She had already spent these 100 dollars and was on her way to breakfast, but suddenly decided to place another 100 dollars in the game. She started playing 2 dollars machines and then went to 1 dollar three-reel Megabucks progressive carousel. She still had 23 dollars in the machine when three Megabucks symbols lined up on the center line. Heundl did not even realize that she won 22 million, until amazed people started to gather around congratulating her.

Megabucks jackpots are normally paid in 25 annual installments, and Haundl has already received the first 907,799 dollars check.
