Guts Poker

The name guts poker refers to whther the player has enough "guts" to stay in the game. It is a nice variation of poker and there are even more variations of this specific game.
There aren't many online poker rooms in which you can play this game, but some do deal this variations and if you're looking for something fresh and exciting, try guts poker.

Rules

Each player put his bet and receives three face-down cards. Each player should then decide whether he wants to play his hand or to fold. The decision is done simultaneously, usually by dropping the cards over the table at the dealer's cue.
There are other ways to show that the players is going to play his hands, for example holding a poker chip and dropping it if the hand won't be played. Each group of players must decide for themselves, before that game, how to announce those things.

Winning

If all the players, except from one player dropped, then this player wins the entire pot. If no one stays in, the dealer must deal the next hand.
If more than one player stays in the game, the hand with the highest ranking wins the pot and the other players must pay the amount equal to what was originally in the pot.
The game continues as long as there is money in the pot.

Hand Ranking

Since there are less cards than in regular poker, there's a different hand ranking:
  • Three of a Kind
  • Straight Flush
  • Straight
  • Flush
  • Pair
  • High Card
