It is just as important to know how to act when playing craps as it is to know how to play craps.

Craps Etiquette

Being well-groomed and well-behaved is a tantalizing sign of the pro.  There are mannerisms that are important to be maintained regardless of how depressed or how excited you are.

Yelling cannot be classed as bad etiquette because that is a part of the excitement sensed around the table; however, calling names of players who have just lost can be a really bad etiquette and unpleasant for the other players at the table.

The worse behavior at a Craps table will be to buy in for a bet when the dice is being rolled, especially midway during the flow of the dice.  Do not push yourself or fight your way to make such bets.

Chuck out your superstitions and stop meddling with the dice.  Do not keep your lucky frog or talisman in the path of the dice when it is flowing in a certain route.  It is not going to bring you a 7 anyway.

Stop working by astrological transitions.  Shoot the dice within 3 to 5 seconds rather than waiting for Jupiter transit in your horoscope.  If you are going to sort the dice for too long you are likely to irritate the other players around you.

If you have planned to withdraw a bet before the shoot, then it is important that you remove the chips and place it in the rack.  If you are going to leave it on the table, then it will be considered a bet.  There is no point in yelling later on after the shoot.

If you are someone looking to make real good money, then it is better you avoid drinks while you are at the craps table.  If you are going to drink, your memory declines and you are likely to make bad decisions at the table, which is not good for your bankroll.
