Professional Cards Dealing
The dealer is the most important player in the game. It is common that every player has to be the dealer at least once during the rounds, therefore if you want to play poker or other casino games, you have to learn about dealing cards.
Most of the casino games have dealer or croupiers, for example: poker, blackjack, roulette, baccarat and craps. The dealer is standing in for the house for usually receivces no personal stake from the game and the bets.
The word croupier derives from French. In old French, 'croup' meant the rump of a quadruped, or the man who rides the behind another person on the back of a horse. There are two types of dealers in a poker game or in any other casino gambling game: a professional dealer who usually works in the casino and gets paid for dealing and an amteur dealer, usually in an amateur poker game between friends.
Amatuer Dealer
When you play poker with friends, as the dealer, you have two considerations on your mind. The first is to be a good dealer and to do everything that is needed during the game, and the second one is to take care of your own hand and to think as a player, not as a dealer. This is why playing as the dealer is not an advantage and this is why all the players have to share this task in turns.
Professional Dealer
At the casino, the dealer are professionals who know their jobs pretty well. We have to remember that dealers are human, just like us all, so sometimes they'll make mistakes too. It's ok to let them know about it and to ask them to reconsider.
Dealers can sometimes push to the pot to the wrong players, read the hands incorrectly, to mismanage the side pot, to flop too many cards - it is all natural even for dealers who are doing the job for years.
