Bond is Back

Casino Royale is the first book of the James Bond Novels remade for the big screen. The movie introduces us to a James Bond before he is a 00, but he is no less as dangerous, after 2 successful assassinations back to back he is elevated to the highly coveted 00 status. On his first mission as 007 he must go to Madagascar, to keep an eye on a terrorist named Mollaka.

When things do not go as planed 007 decides to investigate independently to MI6, in an attempt to track down the rest of Mollaka's terrorist cell. When following a lead takes Bond to the Bahamas he encounters Dimitrios and his girlfriend, Solange.

Bond then learns that Dinitrios is involved with the banker to the world's terrorists. Le Chiffre. Intelligence from the Secret Service reveals that Le Chiffre is raising money in a high stakes poker game in the Montenegro Le Casino Royal casino.

MI6 assigns 007 to play against Le Chiffre in the poker game, with the knowledge that if Le Chiffre loses it will destroy his evil terrorist organization.

M places 007 under the watchful eye of the beautiful Vesper Lynd, at first Bond is Skeptical of what if any value Vesper can provide for him, as the two brave dangers, and even torture at the hands of Le Chiffre together bonds interest in her grows.

In Montenegro Bond receives help from Mathis the Local field agent for MI6, and Felix Leiter, who is a representative for the American CIA.

The Poker game proceeds with many dirty tricks and violence raising the stakes beyond blood and money and reaches a terrifying climax.
